But, you did bring up the fact that it was the flag of when the 'Confedrate States' decided to make their own country. They were defeated. It makes about as much sense for any branch of US goverment including state government to fly that flag as it would be for a state to fly a British, French, or Spanish flag. Were they not some of the countries that flew their flags first? We left the British, should their flag be next to ours? <BR/><BR/>The confederate flag was a symbol of a nation that opposed the US.
